La diversité animale et végétale est omniprésente à côté de chez vous.
Grâce à sa position géographique, le territoire du Parc naturel régional Périgord-Limousin, situé à 45°Nord à mi-chemin entre le Pôle nord et l’Equateur et à cheval sur les zones atlantique et centrale de la France, est un carrefour où se trouvent une multitude d’espèces dont la provenance comprend plusieurs aires biogéographiques : septentrionale, atlantique, centrale, méditerranéenne, ibérienne, souvent à la limite de leur aire de répartition.
Accompagné par des naturalistes confirmés : un biologiste et un ornithologue, ainsi que de personnes qui au sein de structure comme l’Agence de l’eau Adour-Garonne, œuvrent pour la préservation de la ressource en eau, venez découvrir une mosaïque d’habitats et d’espèces singulières ou remarquables liés aux milieux aquatiques, sur un des sites emblématiques du Parc.

Prévoir bottes (ou chaussures de marche), eau et vêtements de pluie. Jumelles pour observations.

A wide range of animal and plant life is to be found all around you.
Thanks to its geographical position, situated at a latitude 45° north and equidistant from the North Pole and the Equator, and also encompassing part of the Atlantic and Central zones of France, the area occupied by the Périgord-Limousin Natural Regional Park is a crossroads where a multitude of species is to be found. They come from several different biological zones : Northern, Atlantic, Central, Mediterranean and Iberian, and are often at the limit of their area of habitat.
Accompanied by professional naturalists, a biologist and an ornithologist, as well representatives from the local water authority, the Adour-Garenne agency, which is committed to the conservation of water resources, come and discover a mosaic of habitats and unusual or remarkable species found in wetlands, in one of the key sites of the Natural Regional Park. Wear boots (or walking shoes), and bring a bottle of water and waterproof clothing. Binoculars are also recommended.
